This pic is awesome! Sounds like you had a gallivanting time. Can't wait to hear about it. Lots of exciting things happening here on the other side of the pond while you were away, which you can read about on my other blog.
Julia, I'm following your other blog with fervent excitement for you!!!
The residency thing is going nowhere. I didn't have any problems re-entering Argentina but they noted on my passport when my temporary residency expires - meaning that I didn't get extra time through re-entry. It expires next week so I suppose I'll have to go to immigration and go through paying the 10 peso fee for another extension since they didn't send me any notification that my permanent residency is complete. Honestly though, since I found out that a DNI is not required for me to apply for Gui's US visa, I hope that they just keep re-newing it so I don't have to deal with getting a DNI.
Since I moved to Rosario last year, I've been attempting to incorporate all things Argentinean into my life, and vice versa. While it seems like a simple enough adventure, being a vegetarian in THE land of meat has awakened in me a creativity for cooking that I might never have known trapped in my world of take-out. In addition, marrying the love of my life makes me a little housewifey and I can't resist the temptation to make things from scratch. He's a pro at home cooking since its a way of life here and I learn more from him every day. This is our recipe box.
